Third Annual Pro-Life Appreciate Night Dinner
September 23, 2004
/PRNewswire/ -- Michael A. Peroutka, Constitution Party presidential candidate, will deliver the keynote address at tonight's third annual Pro-Life Appreciation Night to be held at Michael's Eighth Avenue in Glen Burnie, Md.
"It is truly a privilege to address so many of the stalwart leaders and foot soldiers who have dedicated their lives to end the national shame of abortion," stated Peroutka. "As pro-lifers, we cannot afford to waste our vote this November on the 'lesser of two evils.' If we want to end abortion- on- demand in America, then we must elect a president who has that same goal.
"As president of the United States, I will do everything in my power to end 'legal' abortion, beginning on my first day in office, by acknowledging and defending the personhood of the unborn, declaring Roe v. Wade unconstitutional and void, and appointing only U.S. Attorneys who will defend the unborn."
Peroutka -- who has received the endorsement of the "100% Pro-Life PAC" -- is the only presidential candidate who has agreed to speak to tonight's gathering of several hundred pro-life leaders from around the country.
Invitations to speak at the dinner were also extended to President George W. Bush, Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.), Michael Badnarik (Libertarian Party), David Cobb (Green Party), and Ralph Nader (Independent); all either declined
or failed to respond to the invitation.
