PASADENA, Md., June 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Reflecting upon the historic setting while in Valley Forge, Penn., for the Constitution Party's Convention, presidential nominee Michael A. Peroutka informed the gathering that the root of all the problems our Republic currently faces is that, "We no longer stand upon the firm American foundation that was won for us by the courageous ... men who lodged here in the winter of 1777." Peroutka explained for America to once again thrive, "We must acknowledge God, defend the family and work to restore the Republic." He continued, "These are the footings upon which can be poured the structural elements of a safe and prosperous, and just and decent society."
Michael A. Peroutka will be on no less than 40 of the 50 state ballots as the Constitution Party's presidential nominee; more than any other third party candidate in the race.
Peroutka took time in his televised acceptance speech to thank the two "excellent campaign assistants who are everyday and almost everywhere telling the American people why they must vote for [me]." He pointed out that these two dedicated men, "have great media access," and have "worked tirelessly and constantly [to] make the case over and over again that America must elect Michael Anthony Peroutka." Peroutka then stated, "I'm talking of course about George W. Bush and John Forbes Kerry," explaining that every time they stump for an unconstitutional program, unconstitutional spending or make another empty campaign promise they make it clear that one cannot vote for either man in good conscience.
As president, Peroutka promised that he would return consistency and prudence to our federal government. He explained that, "the purpose of government is NOT to make sure everyone has health insurance ... is NOT to spread democracy to other nations, [and] is NOT to educate the children of the State." Instead he offered that, "the purpose of Government, in an American understanding, is to protect God-given rights."
